Hello, am I speaking to the operator? Dresden journal #1

November the 4th.

It's my second day in Germany, I wake up somewhat more tired than what I'm used to but I feel good knowing that I have this whole new place to discover. I eat some Brötchen for breakfast and leave the house in the morning to take some documentary pictures for a university alumni trip around town. It's cold and I wish I had my hat and gloves, but as I get more and more busy, I stop thinking about it. After visiting a few places, we enter another building. Its gray walls and spacious hall make it seem very quiet and empty. Only when I walk into a small exhibition space on the left, I find this super adorable little collection of vintage items and furniture.

One thing most of my friends have heard me say: "I like old things." Any kind of old things. And guess what, here I find this little room... full of OLD THINGS. So here I am, taking these pictures of old furniture with my old camera.

Dresden is one of the most photogenic places I've ever been to. The architecture, people, houses, interior design, flowers and so much more. Here's to the next few days/weeks/months of this (because who knows what new ideas will come to my mind in the meantime).

xx
Julia
