Food for the soul. Dresden journal #2

November the 9th.

I have fallen in love with sunrises here. I start each day sitting in the dining room, eating breakfast with my soul-family while letting the soft rays of sunlight wake me up.
I wake up at 6.30 in the morning when it's still dark and quiet outside. I quickly dress up to go to the bakery to get some fresh bread and rolls for breakfast. I leave the house and the air doesn't feel as cold as usual. I arrive at the bakery (which is a 5 minute walk from where I'm staying!) and in my Polish-English-German accent ask for vier Brötchen und ein Brot. The streets get busier as I come back home perfectly in time to watch the golden sunrise. I play Carla Bruni's album "No Promises". It will be a good day.
Autumn here is very passionate. The yellows, reds and oranges are everywhere around me. The sun when I wake up, the layers of leaves and the traffic lights when I walk to the tram stop, the trees in every neighbourhood, the winter scarves and hats, and even the pillows when I sleep. Autumn here to me is a perfect visual representation of love and intense emotions; the colour palette of passion.Catch the good vibes and have a wonderful day!xxJulia
