Quiet. Yogahaus #2

Hello December! Today marks one month of me being in Germany. It feels crazy to think of everything that's happened and all the experiences I've had here. With every day passing I feel more and more blessed and grateful for the people I have and for what I am able to do With a Little Help From My Friends (some '68 Joe Cocker for a good start of the day, enjoy).

I've been journaling a lot lately and I can't wait to read through all the pages of 2016 filled with thoughts and emotions. It's only the beginning of December and the reflective pre-New Year's time has got me already - so let me list a few important ideas I discovered this year.

  • Most of the time, the worst thing can happen is a "no". Go and ask for what you want, friends.
  • Communication. The lack of it has created so many problems that don't exist anywhere apart from our head and what we "think" is the case.
  • This little problem solver that actually my dad shared with me:
    You miss someone? Call them.
You want to see someone? Invite them.
You want to be understood? Explain.
    You have a question? Ask.
    You misunderstood something? Say it.
    You like something? Share it.
You need something? Ask for it.
    You love something/someone? Tell them.
No one knows what's in your head. Explaining works better than expecting.
  • Work hard, be kind and the good will come to you. An "obvious" one but not without a reason. Means more when you actually think about it :)

Lots and lots of love, a huge MISS YOU to some of the most wonderful people in Manchester and a very grateful THANK YOU to the crazy, beautiful people of Germany for the warmest welcome I could ever imagine!

xx
